According to multiple sources, it appears that AEW has signed their biggest superstar to date. Reports are confirming the Bryan Danielson (known as Daniel Bryan in the WWE) has officially inked a contract with Tony Khans All Elite Wrestling, and a debut potentially set for September 22nd in New York City at AEW: GrandSlam!
The YES movement should bring AEW even more eyes to their product and should reinvigorate Bryan Danielson who admitted being burned out before headlining the last Wrestlemania with Edge and Roman Reigns in what was a stellar match, even with the reports that Daniel Bryan was not feeling it and attempted to have himself removed from the match just days before.
Reportedly the contract between Bryan and Tony Kahn is for comparable money that he was getting in WWE and for a lighter schedule. It also includes more creative control on how he will be portrayed on TV and will allow him to work with other promotions such as New Japan.
We here at PowerBomb Nation can not help but get excited about the potential matchups we could have with other AEW superstars such as Kenny Omega and Jungle Boy and a potential run against CM Punk (if those rumors are true). Or what 5-star classics could come from New Japan, or even the Impact he could make with the cross-over with Impact Wrestling!
Keep your eyes peeled to AEW television as no date for Bryan Danielson's debut has been announced, and keep your eyes and ears here on the PowerBomb Nation for the latest updates from around the pro wrestling world.
