Body Slams for Cancer

Hello PowerBomb Nation and welcome, thank you for taking the time to read this very important article, as well as watching this very important video below. As many of you know this subject is very near and dear to me.

Lincoln Fight Factory Wrestling & Academy presents Body Slams for Cancer

Friday October the 9th 2015
Yarborough Leisure Centre, Lincoln
Doors open : 6:30 pm
First Bell: 7:15 pm

In the UK alone there are over 300,000 cases of cancer; 50% survive and the people of the Lincoln Fight Factory Wrestling are convinced that is no where near good enough.

In 2014 he lost his mother to cancer. That year one wrestler decided to take the fight to cancer and thus Body Slams to Cancer was born!

In honor of Dee Mansell Body Slams to Cancer was born, and a trophy was battled for in her honor. This same trophy will be defended in her honor this year on October the 9th.

Last year they were able to raise 2,000 pounds, and this year they target 3,000 pounds! I encourage everyone from around the globe to contribute, contribute any penny you can afford to this great cause and we shall see if Body Slams for Cancer can obliterate this financial goal and help with making cancer tap out for good!

All the workers time or fees ad in most cases both are donated to the cause. Every penny raised will be donated to cancer charities such as, Cavendish Cancer Care, St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospital, and Childhood Cancer Awareness.

An event like this should take more president over any Wrestling event I am aware of, if we could make this event draw 1/16th of what a Wrestle Mania or Summer Slam draws it would be a great success and do so much good for awareness and research.

Everyone has a story of themselves or of someone they know that has been affected by this horrible horrible disease.

#WhatsYourStory? @LincsWrestling @LincolnDutch #BodySlamsforCancer and take to twitter this week and weekend #PowerBombNation, and make sure every one you know is well aware of this event and what they can do to assist Dutch and Becca w/ Lincoln Fight Factory with this great event they are putting on.

#MyStory ; I lost my Father in 2006 to cancer, I have lost many uncles and aunts as well as cancer has ravaged my family, as I look down the path and see that my future may very well be the same, I am thankful that people all over the world like Dutch and Becca are there to make a difference.

So starting now Hero's and Villain's will unite under one banner to stop pain and suffering, to give Body Slams to Cancer.

Thank you for your time:

DC's 3 Tag Team's that Transcend Generations

Who are the top three Tag Teams in my book? Well let me share with you what I consider to be 3 of the great tag teams of all time. My grading scale is simple, two performers that can go in the ring, compliment each other perfectly, have the right look, music, and personality factors to be able to be transplanted into any generation! If you can't make the transition to another generation then you are out! After all I will put any of my three up against any three teams you can think of, and in no case would them winning be considered an upset.

#1 Jerishow

To me this was one of the best pairings of a tag team in the history. Jericho was able to come off as the sarcastic heel, while Big Show as the giant enforcer. It gave you the high flying spots and technical wrestling of Jericho, and it allowed for Show to be a giant, which is one of the things he does best. Big Show is also agile in the ring, and able to bump with anyone in the business. They would be a tough contest for any tag team, and I don't think there is a tag team them beating would bring the word upset to mind either.

#2 Yokozuna & Owen Hart

Same as above, the classic wrestling style of Owen Hart with his braggart mouth, and the size and girth of the former world champion Yokozuna. Speed and power, technique and brute strength. Also the fact you had Jim Cornette at ringside, because a manager can really make or break a tag team, Jim and his tennis racket came in handy as well as My Fuji, whom I believe to be one of the greatest managers ever. Two managers, and two of the best performers to ever grace the squared circle. This is why I think they would survive any generation.

#3 Demolition

To me when their music hit and they came out with the spikes, leather and the wicked face paint it was hard to not be intimidated! As well as being accompanied by one Mr Fuji, who makes my list twice I might add. They had the look, they were complete bad asses and pound for pound two of the best performers.  They could be interprited in any language. Once they hit the ramp and you seen these two beasts walking to the ring, you knew they were hear to kick ass and take names, maybe not even take names! Bill Eadie & Barry Darsow defeated Strike Force for their first Tag Team Championship and never looked back winning multiple titles around the world and competing with legends such as Andre the Giant, Brain Busters, Big Boss Man and Akeem, the Valiant Brothers and many many more.

Honorable mentions:

Brothers of Destruction - This is arguably the greatest team ever formed in the fact that they are story line brothers and just the whole chemistry they have together, and they are both paranormal!

The Dudley Boys - In my opinion the greatest tag team to ever lace up the boots. Hands down, not even close......however, I don't think the Dudley Boys gimmick translates over the generations, this is why I left a few notable teams from the list, such as the Road Warriors, some teams are great and legendary but not all of them could work in every generation.

Tag Team wrestling is one of the best parts of this sport, they tell wonderful stories and when a team has their act together and act as a team, there is nothing more beautiful. I hope that the New Day can assist in the WWE, NXT has all the great teams such as the VaudeVillians. Ohio Valley Wrestling has teams like Reverend Stuart Miles and Adam Revolver. Thanks for letting me rant PowerBomb Nation.

Badd Blood set to make History

NWA HISTORY SET TO BE MADE SOON!

What goes into being a Champion?

What makes a great Champion?

What makes someone worthy of being a champion?

Blood, its got to be in your blood, and in the case of today’s article, Badd Blood runs through our veins!

With all the talks of your Seth Rollins, and Jay Lethals; as they were/are currently dual Champions. With CM punks most recent historic WWE Championship run, and Nikki Bella's historic Diva's Championship run. Great accomplishments like this too often get over looked elsewhere, and in the places that matter the most. Today I bring you the story of one mans dream of being in the NWA, and the story of this man making history.

Take this shining example, NWA Pacific North West Champion Badd Blood has held the title for a total of 254 days as of the writing of this article on 9/21/15. The current record is held by The Grappler at 280 days, he is just a little over 25 days of destroying this record! Badd Blood has been a fighting Champion not a paper champion like most others in the business today. He has successfully defended his NWA Pacific North West Championship all over the country, including places like California, Texas, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio & Oregon.

He has defended his championship more places than both the NWA Heavyweight, and North American Titles have been this year! He takes on all challengers and will not back down from anyone, including current NWA Heavyweight Champion Arrick Andrews!

So mark your calender, this historic and ground breaking match will take place on November 1st 2015 in Indiana. If all goes to plan the PowerBomb Nation will be there to support Badd Blood in his quest for immortality within NWA history.  You can view the history of the Pacific North West Championship and the long list of stars whom have held this belt in the link provided below.
