DC's 3 Tag Team's that Transcend Generations

Who are the top three Tag Teams in my book? Well let me share with you what I consider to be 3 of the great tag teams of all time. My grading scale is simple, two performers that can go in the ring, compliment each other perfectly, have the right look, music, and personality factors to be able to be transplanted into any generation! If you can't make the transition to another generation then you are out! After all I will put any of my three up against any three teams you can think of, and in no case would them winning be considered an upset.

#1 Jerishow

To me this was one of the best pairings of a tag team in the history. Jericho was able to come off as the sarcastic heel, while Big Show as the giant enforcer. It gave you the high flying spots and technical wrestling of Jericho, and it allowed for Show to be a giant, which is one of the things he does best. Big Show is also agile in the ring, and able to bump with anyone in the business. They would be a tough contest for any tag team, and I don't think there is a tag team them beating would bring the word upset to mind either.

#2 Yokozuna & Owen Hart

Same as above, the classic wrestling style of Owen Hart with his braggart mouth, and the size and girth of the former world champion Yokozuna. Speed and power, technique and brute strength. Also the fact you had Jim Cornette at ringside, because a manager can really make or break a tag team, Jim and his tennis racket came in handy as well as My Fuji, whom I believe to be one of the greatest managers ever. Two managers, and two of the best performers to ever grace the squared circle. This is why I think they would survive any generation.

#3 Demolition

To me when their music hit and they came out with the spikes, leather and the wicked face paint it was hard to not be intimidated! As well as being accompanied by one Mr Fuji, who makes my list twice I might add. They had the look, they were complete bad asses and pound for pound two of the best performers.  They could be interprited in any language. Once they hit the ramp and you seen these two beasts walking to the ring, you knew they were hear to kick ass and take names, maybe not even take names! Bill Eadie & Barry Darsow defeated Strike Force for their first Tag Team Championship and never looked back winning multiple titles around the world and competing with legends such as Andre the Giant, Brain Busters, Big Boss Man and Akeem, the Valiant Brothers and many many more.

Honorable mentions:

Brothers of Destruction - This is arguably the greatest team ever formed in the fact that they are story line brothers and just the whole chemistry they have together, and they are both paranormal!

The Dudley Boys - In my opinion the greatest tag team to ever lace up the boots. Hands down, not even close......however, I don't think the Dudley Boys gimmick translates over the generations, this is why I left a few notable teams from the list, such as the Road Warriors, some teams are great and legendary but not all of them could work in every generation.

Tag Team wrestling is one of the best parts of this sport, they tell wonderful stories and when a team has their act together and act as a team, there is nothing more beautiful. I hope that the New Day can assist in the WWE, NXT has all the great teams such as the VaudeVillians. Ohio Valley Wrestling has teams like Reverend Stuart Miles and Adam Revolver. Thanks for letting me rant PowerBomb Nation.
